I have been using lma for the past 1 year now. It is one hell of an experience . I am using intubation only for obstetric surgeries now. LMA is so much comfortable ; patients don't develop post op sore throat at all.
In children it is even better. Last week I took a 9 month old baby for balanoposthitis and after 20 min of waking up , he accepted mothers milk and was discharged after 1 hour. It was a wonderful feeling.
And this is just one such incident - I have seen LMA use especially good in children as far as post op throat discomfort is considered. Will be posting some snaps soon.
